HUGE ORIGINAL WWII poster.......\"REMEMBER DEC. 7th\", referring to the Japanese surprise attack on Pearl Harbor on that date. At the top it reads \"we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain\", referring to the servicemen that were killed at Pearl Harbor (original quote from Abraham Lincoln during his Gettysburg Address in 1863). Strong imagery depicting a tattered American Flag flying at half-staff, and fire/flames rising up in the background from the burning US Navy ships that were bombed/torpedoed in Pearl Harbor in 1941. The artist of the poster was Allen Sandburg, andit was printed in 1942.This poster was professionally linen-backed and framed behind glass. Sorry for the glare and reflections, but items framed behind glass are difficult to photograph. The frame measurements are4-feet wide by5-foot 4-inchesinches tall!!
