ORIGINAL RIP KIRBY ARTWORK DAILY.....OCTOBER 25, 1962............ JOHN PRENTICEAL WILLIAMSON A wonderful daily from the classic comic strip. This art features Desmond and Wiggers being pursued at sea. It's an outstanding example of the strip from the early-60's period, when Al Williamson was John Prentice's full time assistant. The opening panel is stunning--ex navy man Prentice could draw ships and water with ease. Here he does both to great effect and there is excellent inking throughout. In particular, the inking of the wave in the center panel is among the best handling I've ever seen--the scans here do the brushwork no justice whatsoever. The lower left corner is cut (see scans). Otherwise, this is an is an immaculate daily, with no surface or edge damage or other defects...................
