Elizabeth Neave Lincoln was a respected and talented artist for Rookwood and she produced a fine quality piece of art pottery with the Vellum mat glaze vase being offered in the Art Nouveau floral style. Mat Vellum pieces are rare and this item shows a high degree of depth and range of color in his rending of rose blossoms and leaves! This designed vase provides a view of colors presenting a view of the light red or pink rose blossomsagainst a soft matt verigated backgroundaround the entire round piece. The overall design is truly wonderful work of hand painting by this Rookwood artist! This vase is 6 1/4\" tall by 3\" wide at the widest point in yhr center of the vase. The base is marked with the Rookwood symbol along with the numeral \"X\" or 1910, the mold #926 E, V for vellum, and the script mark of Elizabeth Neave Lincoln. Please see the above pictures to view this piece along with the base markings, Lincoln\'s mark and the Rookwood marks.
