Nice vintage Russian KIDDUSH cup with hallmarks on bottomAND GRAPES WITH LEAVES ON THE SIDE THE HALLMARKS ON THE BOTTOM ARE VERY HARD TO READ, BUT I THINK ONE OF THE WORDS IS HOMMET OR IOMETT. I FOUND IOMETT ON THE WEB AND IT IS A RUSSIAN MARKING.I TESTED THE CUP FOR SILVER AND IT GIVES A READING FOR SILVER. WHAT I HAVE FOUND IN RESEARCHING THESE CUPS AS A NORMAL IS .875 INSTEAD OF .925 AS THE PURITY. THE SCRATCH TEST TURNED RED, BUT NOT AS RED AS .925 SILVER.YOU ARE NOT ONLY GETTING SILVER, BUT HISTORICAL PIECES OF SIGNIFICANT RELEVANCE. THE WEIGHT ISOVER 38 GRAMS Fresh from an estate and ready for a good polishing. Measures 2 1/2 inches tall. Average condition for age with normal light handling marks and small indent as seen in picture.
