Rainbow Valley - Anne Of Green Gables L.m. Montgomery Easton Press Fine Leather :
$38

This is the beautiful Easton Press edition of Rainbow Valley, by Lucy Maud Montgomery (L. M. Montgomery). This sale is for one book only; the picture showing 3 books together is only to show how the set will look together on the shelf. The other two books in the picture are currently being offered in separate sales.

Easton Press sells the world's greatest books, bound in genuine leather and accented with 22kt gold. Each book is a Collector Edition that is as magnificent to see and hold as it is to read. Their extraordinary books are an elegant addition to any library, and make the perfect gift for Christmas, Birthdays, Father’s Day, Mother’s Day or any occasion. These books are of such fine quality they’ll last for generations and become beloved family heirlooms.

This beautiful book has all the features for which Easton Press collector’s books are so well-known:

  • bound in fine genuine leather (in this case, a rich, very deep green)
  • 22kt gold-stamped spine accents
  • distinctive raised spine hubs
  • intricate gilt stamped cover designs
  • specially milled acid-neutral paper
  • Smyth-sewn pages
  • gilded page edges
  • endsheets of moiré silk
  • permanent satin ribbon page-marker

It also includes an exclusive introductory information sheet about the author, title, and the series.

No bookplate included.

Condition Specifics: This book is in excellent condition. The worst flaw is some wear to the gilt floral motif on the middle of the spine, below the title (not as bad as on Anne of Avonlea, see picture). The second-worst flaw is wear to the gilt on the page ends (a little worse than on Anne of Avonlea, see picture). Other than that, the only other wear I see are the marks to the page-end gilt, including what looks like scuffs, minor spots, and some dent lines. This book seems to be unread, based on the ribbon book mark still being in its original position. It has a good, tight, straight binding.

I love books. I collect books. Although I am an incurable bibliophile, I would not call myself a book collector, however, because I do not have full knowledge of all the professional terms and grading scales used in the trade. I do not use any official system to describe the condition of my books. I just describe the condition and flaws to the best of my ability. If I have not described any detail sufficiently for you, please ask. I will be glad to give any more information that I can. I always package the books I sell very carefully, and always in a box, never a bag or an envelope.

Rainbow Valley is the seventh book of eight in the Anne of Green Gables series by Lucy Maud Montgomery. I am currently offering two other titles from the same series in separate sales: Anne of Avonlea and Rilla of Ingleside. This beautiful, timeless series from Easton Press has long been out of print and is very hard to find.

All of my items come from a smoke-free home.
