Rare 1790s Soft Paste Heraldic Eagle Liberty Covered Bowl Eagle As Is Yellow War:
$31.00
I feel this is 1790s US Colonial Period soft paste pottery mainly because of the similarity to the Liberty Cap type US copper cent coinage issued from 1794-1798. This covered (sugar) bowl has the Capped Liberty much like the coin on the front and early Heraldic Eagle on the other side. It has a lot of damage, but I\'ll bet not many have survived even this well. It\'s like an early yellow ware. Needless to say, it has a lot of damage. A piec of the lid is missing. Tere are numerous rim chips. It has staining and discolorization. (See photo of bottom). It seems I\'m right because I see a similar (Seated Liberty with similar Heraldic Eagle) style piece attributed to the 1790s.(also with a lot of damage) My piece has to be as old. The other piece did well. I almost hope I can\'t get the 24.99 start, because I wouldn\'t mind keeping this piece. It would surely be a bottle diggers dream find. $12.00 (Double Boxed) US Priority Mail Shipping Insured.
