Rare 1890s Paul Dachsel Turn-teplitz Amphora Rstk Vase Austrian Well Marked For SaleItem No. 8382
CONDITION: Excellent, with only perhaps some gilt losses, and natural, allover crazing.
RARE 1890s work of the TURN-TEPLITZ, Austria, manufacturer, "AMPHORA," and presumably the design of PAUL DACHSEL ...
please see the site below for a discussion of another Dachsel Spiderweb & Moth vase which recently sold at sale for over most unusual Pottery Vase is a combination of "jeweled", raised, and gilt spiderwebs on the upper portion; and stylized, iridescent, raised gilt-outlined moths and bees on the lower portion. We can't be certain, but suggest the area under and around the rim might bestylized honeycombs.
The presence of both the oval Amphora mark and the Rstk mark should indicate this was made during Paul Dachsel's time with the company.
It measures about6-3/4" tall, 2-7/8" diameter rim, 4-1/2" diameter shoulder,2-7/8" diameter base.
A fabulous find for the serious collector! $45 US Shipping.
