Rare 18th C. Polish Military Karabela Shamshir Sword W/shark Skin Grip (naval ?) For Sale
Very interesting 18th century Polish shamshir, possibly of a naval service having very good quality brass mounts with a fine shark skin grip adorned with three brass caps to each side, all brass showing beautiful rich patina and possibly traces of gilt finish. Wearing a sturdy large deeply curved blade having a large false edge area and exhibiting light pitting areas and touch of patina to the overall bright steel finish. Solid and overall intact, this very battle worthy early saber is in amazingly ready condition for any serious combat action.overall 37" blade 31 1/2".
