Rare 18thc 1750 Meissen Porcelain Dulong Pattern Plate Porzellan Teller Antique:
For sale is a great porcelain plate made by Meissen in about 1750 or a bit earlier. It is handpainted with some nice flowers all over the center and four cartouches on the rim with a nice raised design to the rim. This pattern is called Dulong and is quite popular. Gold trim to the edge and around the four cartouches on the rim. The plate is a great learning example that one does need when you get into early Meissen. It displays fine but has some wear to the flowers, the gilding and two small chips to the rim. It really isn't a bad piece but a bit rougher than I like my pieces I guess. The plate is 1.375 inches tall and 9.75 inches in diameter. Marked underneath with the underglaze blue crossed swords as well as an impressed number 22.
