Rare 18thC Meissen Porcelain Winter Figure Bust Porzellan Bueste 1750 Figur:
$899.00

For sale is a bust of winter made by Meissen in about 1755. It is in the form of an old man with a beard wearing a nice robe with fur on the edge that covers the top of his head and everything else but the face. The robe is a light purple color with nice gold detail to it. The bust sits on top of a column that is quite typical for Meissen of this time period with some relief detail and lots of gold highlights. The piece is in amazingly good condition with just some wear to the gold. The bottom of the base is flat and filled with only the air hole in it. It is not marked but that is not unusual for these pieces during this time. The entire piece is 3.25 inches tall, 1.625 inches wide and 1.25 inches deep. The wooden base and screw is no longer there so it will not come with it!
