This is a very typical period design that was issued to officers during WWI, a superb looking Solid Silver time piece. The details on this lovely example are:-

The case measures approx 36.5mm (inc the original onion shaped crown) or 32.6mm in diameter by 10.4mm thick (including the glass). The glass is in good condition and the solid silver case is in great shape for its age and will close / snap secure and tight, it could do with a light polish, but on the whole a very nice looking case (please see the photos for more detail). It is clearly marked inside with an English sterling silver import / hallmark which dates this timepiece to 1911. The original white porcelain enamel dial featureselegant period numerals and it is in good condition for its age with only one tiny surface chip to the centre and a very faint mark between the 1 to 2 O’clock, none of which are overly noticed when the timepiece is worn and only mention for accuracy as it is much nicer in the flesh! Peeking inside I find a lovely looking jeweled mechanism, which winds and sets while keeping good time for its age (monitored for 24 hours).
