Birmingham - Lovely Design - 20 troy oz. - VERY RARE

This is a stunning and rare ANTIQUE solid sterling silver teapot that was made in Birmingham, England in 1913. It has a fabulous and elegant half reeded Georgian shape with a gadrooned rim and is raised on an oval base. It is NOT engraved. It measures about 5 5/8\" high to the top of the handle, is5\" wide by 12\" long from handle to spout. It is very substantial - it weighs619.1 grams - that isalmost 20troy oz. Its capacity isa full 2 1/2imperial pints!!!!

It is in very good condition for its age with the usual surface scratching but NO dents, a very few minor dings - see photographs - with NO splits - just an old professional repair to the spout - SUPER. The lid fits very well, the handle is fruit wood as is the finial and both are firm. It is hallmarked anchor, lion passant (sterling silver assay mark),o showing that it was hallmarked in Birmingham in 1913. I have shown the hallmarks so that you can make up your own mind.
