Rare 1878 Eight Day Parepa Victorian Rosewood Parlor Clock Welch Spring & Co USA
This is a stunning antique parlor clock.
It is gorgeous dark Rosewood with a glass front. The glass it trimmed in a gold garland desing.
The clock has beautiful columns on the sides and a final at the top. Please note that there are NO missing finals on the tops at the sides as there are NO holes to hold them. The tops of the columns are flat, no holes so no "missing finials" as some have advised us there are. Please contact us if you have any additional questions.
The sticker on the back says "EIGHT DAY PAREPA V.P. MAUFACTURED BY WELCH, SPRING, & CO FORESTVILLE CONN U.S.A.."
The clock works great and has a lovely chime on a nickle bell. The pendulum is missing which makes the clock run fast. The bell does chime as the hands rotate around the face. This is a wonderful candidate for a good cleaning will make a wonderful addition to any 23"

Our Guarantee: My family and I have been collecting various treasures for years just as our parents did and their parents did before them. Nowadays, we run a small antique shop in the heart of the historic district in Lebanon, Illinois (the home of the Mermaid House where Charles Dickens once stayed).
We believe in treating everyone fairly and offer a variety of goods at a fair price. Though we are not experts in any particular field of collecting, we have a pretty good eye and we describe each listing to the best of our ability. We do our very best to list every detail about an item and have plenty pictures for you to get a great view of the item from just about every angle, as if you are actually holding it in your own hands. We will not intentionally misrepresent any part of an item's description; if we see a crack, nick, chip, scratch, flea bite, or any distractions of note, we will clearly list it in the item description and try to get a close up picture of it for you.
However, we are human and we are subject to make human errors. If you find that we have missed a flaw or were mistaken about an item, we will happily give you a full refund (including shipping) upon return of the item in the same condition as it was sent by us, within 3 days from the time that you received the item. All we ask is that you allow us to make it right before you leave negative response.
