Rare Antique Armor Bronze Large Indian 1915 Collectible Bookends Very Heavy For SaleI got this from my grandfather who always had them on his bookshelves. He got them from his father. So...no big deal if these don't sell, I like them anyway. I have not cleaned these or done any restoring of any kind. They look in perfect condition anyway and quite sturdy so would be hard to break anyway. They are very heavy. They measure 9 and 3/4" tall by 5 and 1/8' inches deep, by 4 and 1/8" wide so are nice and big making them more valuable being bronze. They are marked on the back by the artist "Ruhl" and 1915. I don't know if that means they were made in 1915, but I have found they were made between 1915 and 1920. Both bookends have the original sticker on the bottom that say The National Metalizing Company New York City Armor Bronze. One bookend has 100% of it's sticker, and the other about 80% but the part that is missing with age does not affect any of the words and was blank anyway. The sticker is affixed to what looks like felt which looks as you see in the picture a little dusty but I am not going to mess with it. These bookends are in amazing good condition and imagine having them in 2015 when they are 100 years old. This is from a non smoking home. I know these are worth more than a thousand dollars but will start the offerding lower. Just not too low because it is fine with me to keep these. I have very good response and am known for careful fast shipping. I will put a shipping calculator on this sale. I will probably use insurance while shipping these just to be careful.
