Vintage art -deco apothecary jar from the early days of the past century. Very beautiful jar, which is clear and stands in an aluminum holder which is bronze colored. The jar itself measures approx. 13\" tall and 32\" at the widest girth. The stand is approx. 10.5\" from the bottom to the top. the stopper, which may not be original measures approx. 6.25\" from top to bottom and has a diameter is approx. 3.78\" on the outside and approx. 3 1/8\" on the inside. The stopper has rubbing that indicates that is fit inside rather than outside of a jar but still fits on this jar. There is a chip on the top of the jar and another on the stopper. These imperfections are minor when you consider the condition of the entire jar. The jar may be used for candy display or may be filled with colored water as it was in the original days. A beautiful art-deco piece that us older folks remember when the pharmacy was a place to get not only medicine but a refreshing drink or sweet candy. Sold as is so please contact if any questions.
