Rare Antique GE Pancake Electric Motor Fan 4 Brass Blade and Brass Cage works
From my personal collection is this very rare G.E. original pancake motor, brass cage and brass blade 12” electric fan. I believe this was manufactured between 1901 and 1910. The paint on the motor and base is original, and the brass cage and blades have a patina from years of storage. The cage will need to be straightened and brazed in a few places, a normal procedure during restoration. The blades are all intact, no cracks or bends that I can see. At one point in time, the speed switch was replaced with a simple on/off switch, you maybe get the speed switch from hudson custom machining.The fan runs smoothly and strong ! The paint has some scratched and paint chips. Cast iron doesn't look crack and isn't broken that I can see. This fan will be an easy restoration project to like new condition, or it can be displayed just the way it is. A beautiful Americana piece !!
