Elastolin is a trademark used by the German company O&M Hausser (O&M Hausser) for the toy soldiers and other types of figures it manufactured from composite material and later from plastic. The Hausser firm was founded in 1904 by Christian Hausser and his sons Otto and Max. The factory was situated in LudwigsburgGermany.Thisrare Elastolin 6 +1/2\" Clown by Hausser was purchased at sale in 1997 along with over 100 Circus figures at Wolf\'s sale. These earlyHausser pieces (early 1900\'s) were once a very large display ownedand used by the Wrigleychewing gum company in one of their corporate offices.I purchased many of these and will be listing more in the near future. This one isa Civil War Soldier missing his rifle and sword. I alsohave the original animated unicycle clown that once rode around the top of this Elastolin Drum. He will be offered at a later date with the drum. Many More to come!
