A Rare Antique Polish Parcel Gilt Silver Torah Crown By Moszek Charlap, Warsaw, 1893, Judaica.

A rare antiquePolish parcel gilt silver (NOT silver plated) Torah crown by Moszek Charlap, Warsaw, 1893, Judaica.

The crown is richly chased with flowers and rampant lions bellow six bells pendants from gilt stags, and six bells pedants from gilt birds.

Topped with a large gilt eagle shape finial.

Very good condition, recently polished and restored, minor crack.

Marked (in several places) withPolish silver marks for Warsaw, dated 1893, maker's mark for Moszek Charlap (marks"M.Charlap" and "M.X" – Cyrillic, worked in Warsaw 1880-1915), assayer's mark for Joseph Sosnkowski.
