This is a rare nickel plated version of the popular King\'s rack & pinion derivative of the Thomason design of Victorian corkscrew in very good, fully functional condition. The splendid finish really sets off one of the most attractive badges I have seen being uncommonly well formed with extraordinary detail. The handle is in excellent condition and it has a luxuriant brush and hanging ring. There is some wear to the rack teeth but not enough to affect the operation of the corkscrew - the worst affected teeth are shown in close-up in the last picture. The actual screw is full length, straight and sharp and it measures 20 cm in length and 8.5 cm across the handle not counting the brush. There are no chips to the bone handle, just one small age crack as shown.Payment
