RARE BLACK AMERICANA GLASS LANTERN SLIDE ATTACK ON THE WATERMELON
A lot of 2 original Magic Lantern Slides from McIntosh Steriopticon Co. 35 and 37 Randolp Street, Chicago, Ill.
ATTACK ON THE WATERMELON, a rare Black Americana 2-part set of lantern slides.
Size: 4 x 3 1/4 in. each
Condition:Much tearing to paper edge binding, as shown. The "Day Say I Cant" slide has an inner fine-line from the left edge to middle. The "But Ise done gone done it" slide has an inner fine-line at right edge (approx. 1/4 inch.) These do not appear to be scratches, but line cracks inside the glass. Other glasssurface wear. They each have a partial (torn) label on the reverse with typed "Attack on the Watermelon". We have not professionally cleaned these, other than a quick wipe-off. We will leave any further or professional cleaning to the new owner. Sold as is.
They were discovered under the bed of a 90-year old antiques dealer, quite dusty. A fantastic find.
