Rare Brooklyn Reformed Dutch Church Poster, With Original Photos, C. 1884:
A very rare and interesting poster from the FirstReformed DutchChurch of Brooklyn, Long Island, New York, one of the oldest congregationsin America. Mounted with two original albumen photographs, one showing a painting of the church's first building in 1666, the second showing the 1834 church. I believe thisposter was produced in very limited numbersin 1884, to celebrate the 50th year of the building shown at right. Photographs (and the poster) were done by Pendleton, whose photographic shop was located at 336 Fulton Street, Brooklyn, Long Island, New York. Condition is fragile: You can see missing chunks of the poster board, with tears and cracks, photos are decent, some scuffing to the image at right. A neat and unusual piece of Brooklyn history. Overall the poster measures 21.50 x 27.50 inches, a nice size. Buyer to pay shipping, good luck!
