Rare Cdv Photo Young William F. Cody Buffalo Bill Wild West Show Cowboy Cir.1875 For SaleWe have for sale a 2 1/2 x 4 inch original cdv photograph of a young William F. Cody or best known as his stage name Buffalo Bill Cody.William Frederick "Buffalo Bill" Cody (February 26, 1846 – January 10, 1917) was an American soldier, bison hunter and showman. He was born in the Iowa Territory (now the U.S. state of Iowa), in Le Claire but lived several years in Canada before his family moved to the Kansas Territory. Buffalo Bill received the Medal of Honor in 1872 for service to the US Army as a scout. One of the most colorful figures of the American Old West, Buffalo Bill became famous for the shows he organized with cowboy themes, which he toured in Great Britain and Europe as well as the United States. The photograph is a rare photo of him at the beginning of his wild west show career, the picture features him in a cowboy hat with a flipped rim and sporting a ornate cowboy shirt. The photo is 100% original and is in great shape on the front side, the backside has nothing, but some child at one time took a crayon to it, so it has a little crayon on the back, but still not really that bad. The real importance is in the front and it is wonderful. This photo would make a wonderful addition to any collection.
