Rare Embossed The D. Bacon Co. Harrisburg, Pa. Green Glass Coca - Cola Bottle ?:
You are looking at a very rare embossed green glass The D. Bacon Co. Soda bottle. Out of Harrisburg, Pa. I am going to go out on a limb & call this a Coca - Cola made for bottle. I believe it is a 6 1/2 oz. bottle. It is that Coca - Cola green glass. I only found 1 other item with this writing & it was a crate''' Coca - Cola The D. Bacon Co. ''' I have found a couple other Bacon bottles in the past, but non ever like this one. It has great embossed letters & numbers on the ridge of the base for identifying. I would guess the makers name. I am not sure the age, but I would guess from the 1920's by the numbers at the base of the bottle. I could not find any others to compare it to. It has scuffs and scratches from being used. It has some wear spots & flea bites on the embossed letters, but still very solid. I also believe this bottle will display very nice from the front. You should be able to see that from the pictures I have posted. It is heavy and solid. weighs almost a pound before shipping. Needs a cleaning. I do not mess with them to much, because I really do not know what I am doing. I took lots of pictures for you to see an decide for yourself. Thanks for looking ----I am really sorry about the shipping prices. The little I used to save in printing my own labels, is now being sucked up by . I used to count on that to pay for my ink & paper. Not any more. Say I list a bottle at 1 to 3 pounds. Which 95% of the time, around there. So it coast you around $8.68. in shipping. It coast me around $7.65 to print the label if it is close to Pa. Anything out west is over $12's for over a pound. . takes about a $1.25 of that. Which is around 10% of my total shipping cost. And then it does not even cover the total paid by the buyer. Then I pay them 10% of my final sale price. Plus I pay paypal 7%. I do not know how much longer I will be able to sell. My sells dropped 68% in the last 4 months. The truth is. I pay more in shipping fees, then I do in my final fee if the item sells. And if my item does not sell. I still pay to list it. Plus the shipping cost just went up. Anything under a pound, I try and do free shipping. Anything over a pound is different in cost from the East coast to the west.
