The item being featured in this listing is a rare 1983-issueHunting Heritage/ Wildlife Legislative Fund of AmericaS/N 45/75 A/P (Artist Proof)¹by Larry Hayden entitled, \'Mallards.\'¹ Classified as a specialized subset of the regular limited edition or standard manufactured industrial print lithographs, the term “proof” was generally – though oftentimes inconsistently – applied to prints created during the latter vestiges of the 18th Century to present day. Artist\'s proofs are impressions of prints taken in course of the printmaking process as a means of ascertaining the progress of the product\'s evolution while it is being positioned on the engraving plate (or stone, or woodblock – ideal for purposes of etching) by the artist.ASSESSMENT OF CONDITION: Isolated instances of surface abrasion along the length of the picture\'s outer frame.DIMENSIONS (Measurements inclusive of frame)Length - Approximately 27.75 inches
