Chain sticht embroidery of polychrome silk thread on wool Scarlet red cashmere twill. Fully lined red cotton.Many Human and animals figures under a mirahb at each end: Tiger, peacocks, swallows, deer... , little angels... Under the arches of a temple a sultan is kneeling... Embroidered piece apparently made in one piece (not joined) . Beautiful condition of conservation and color.Dimensions: 61 cm X 240 cm. Positive Points: The religious dimension is very present as obviously an Indian pichhwai. This work is the result of a male corporation of professional Embroiderers called Mochi. Remarkable piece of Indian heritage! Negative Points: Some rare old ans small repairs very well made and maintained through the Red cotton lining.
