For the comic art collector out there, may I present to you an original piece of the comics printing process:

This is a transparency that, to my knowledge, is a one-off piece of production art used by Marvel Comics to print the first page of Amazing Spider-Man #73, pencilled by John Romita Sr.

This sale consists of one acetate sheet containing text and art that represents one full page of a comic book.

Many people out there will say an item is \"unique\", \"original\", or \"one of one\", but from my experience this is rarely the case (and if it is, it\'s not going to be affordable). In terms of these transparencies, however, I believe \"original\", \"unique\" and \"rare\" are words that apply.

While there are always several versions of a comic page transparency such as this floating around, it is my understanding that each variation was used for one particular printing.

This means that even though there are multiple copies of a page\'s transparency available to collectors, each copy really is \"one of one\".
