Rare Lawrence Barret Cigar Curved Porcelain Sign W/ Bracket - 32" X 19.25" Big For Sale

For consideration is a very rare and unique curved porcelain sign advertising "Lawrence Barrett Cigar". Sign has steel bracket on the back and signed "B.S.C' 52 STATE ST CHI - BEAVER FALLS PA" at the bottom of the sign. This is guaranteed old. Very heavy thick porcelain sign. Blank center section - more on that below. Please read.This is a large sign for being curved porcelain - measurements are 32" (H) X 19.25" (W) X 5" (D).PLEASE VIEW ALL PHOTOS AND READ DESCRIPTION BELOW FOR ACCURATE DEPICTION OF CONDITION. SIGN IS IN ROUGH SHAPE AND HAS CONDITION ISSUES BUT STILL DISPLAYS WELL AND IS AN IMPRESSIVE SIZE. STILL VERY RARE DESPITE. THIS IS A sale!PLEASE READ!Condition is very rough overall. There are obvious chips, rust spots and some rusted away ares in the metal as clearly seen in photos. There are chips around the bracket holes and all around the edges are chips and some areas chewed away from rust. Sign is faded and the finish is flat overall with scuffs and scratches throughout. Looks like some of the chips may have been repaired with paint or a marker at one time - these look to be BB gun shots or gun shots - but no piercing holes other than where bracket holes are. Looks like at least a few of the bolts and nuts have been replaced. As for the center of the sign - it's white with glue remnants and staining as seen. When I acquired this - there was an old plastic like image GLUED in this area and I removed it to see what was underneath - and it was heavily glued over the white central section. It had been there for a very long time and was old as well. It's very unusual - not sure if there was supposed to be an image IN the porcelain in this area like other Lawrence Barret Cigar signs or what - but it appears that there was never an image to start with in the porcelain. I don't believe this is painted over either. There is no indication of a past image - possibly an error or misprint from the factory? I have no idea - please look at the pictures and ask all questions and make your own judgement. I removed as much glue as possible - but as you can see there is still more. It's possible this sign may clean up more and I'm sure there are folks who can get it shining again but I am selling as is. I have made no repairs or touch ups other than removing the originally glued image and wiping it down. Again - this is a highly unusual sign that is guaranteed old and still displays well. Very large size 32" (H) X 19.25" (W) X 5" (D).
