Please see the additional 21 pictures we embedded below the description. This sale is for a rare original antique illustrated “Dietz Lanterns: Complete Booklet No. 29” advertising pamphlet catalog. We are unsure as to the booklet’s exact age but are fairly certain that it dates back to the 1920s. The booklet is marked in part as follows: LIGHT ON THE SUBJECT! DIETZ LANTERNS. COMPLETE BOOKLET NO. 29. R. E. DIETZ COMPANY. FOUNDED 1840. OFFICERS JOHN E. DIETZ. PRESIDENT AND TREASURER. ROBERT E. DIETZ. VICE PRESIDENT. FRED H. TWOMBLY. ASST. SECRETARY AND EXPORT MANAGER. MAIN OFFICES, 60 LAIGHT STREET. NEW YORK, U. S. A. The booklet contains over 70 black & white illustrations with detailed descriptions and specifications for each item. The booklet measures roughly 6 3/16” x 3 1/2” and weighs 0.6 oz. This booklet was removed from within an advertising scrapbook that has kept it in great condition for roughly the last 100 years. The booklet does have some light edge wear, scratches, slightly bumped corners, some wrinkles, and an indentation-type crease that travels from the rear cover through most of the inside pages. The item was attached to the scrapbook page using two circular tabs (half of each tab was adhered to the page and the other half was adhered to the back page of the item). This created a hinge-like effect that made it possible to still read the material inside. Part of one of these circular tabs as well as some remnants of the other tab are still adhered to the back page of the booklet. There appears to be some slight peeling in these areas (see pictures). The booklet appears to be free of any tears or other apparent damage. This rare original antique illustrated “Dietz Lanterns: Complete Booklet No. 29” advertising pamphlet catalog is sure to be a nice addition to your collection. We do our best to properly describe an item, but please take a close look at the pictures to assess condition (mouse over to zoom, click to enlarge).
