This listing is for a rare vase in Pairpoint Glass Company\'s Ardsley Pattern. This piece measures approximately 8 1/4\" tall and 6\" wide at the widest point. It does have two \"flea bites\" on the rim of the foot, one somewhat larger than average, and the usual wear on the bottom. The obvious damage is a chip on the foot measuring 1/2\" wide and 5/8\" long. It has removed 1/8\" of glass from the rim (meaning at least 1/8\" would have to be removed if you were to \"repair\") the piece.While I pride myself in bringing you items that are in excellent condition, I am offering this \"As Is\" piece because of the very scarcity and beauty of the exceptionally hard to find pattern and blank produced by Pairpoint. The \"twisted optic\" blank used on this vase was produced especially for this flowing rococo style cutting. You will find pieces in this same pattern in the Corning Museum of Glass. I am hoping someone out there appreciates this as much as I do!
