This system Paulin altimeter was made in Sweden by the C. E. Johansson company between 1929-1940. It looks to be in wonderful condition in the original hand sewn leather case, 5 3/4\" x 3 3/8\". If you look this up you will find most are in institutions, including the Smithsonian. On their website, they said it sold in 1929 for $125. On back of the metal case, it says \"made in Sweden, A8551, Pat USA, Sept 9-19, Apr 13-26\". The innerscale is 900-4000 and the outer scale is 4000-9700. The needle moves freely around and has the original little adjustment screwdriver. The leather is like something you would find on a fine bag, and the inside top is like a very soft kid leather. This is a wonderful and rare instrument. Very well packed. Comments welcome.
