Dark \"Persian\" blue glaze applied with mottled or striped effect. Robins egg blue interior glaze. Stamped Marblehead Pottery logo beneath heavy glaze on bottom. Perfect condition and an ideal addition to any Arts and Crafts Era pottery collection. Circa 1920. Measures 5 1/4\" tall, 2 1/5\" at mouth in ovoid shape.Marblehead Pottery was started in 1904 in Marblehead, MA in the Devereux Mansion as a convalescent therapy for patients of the sanitariumthere and grew into being one of the most sought after wares of the 1900\'s.***Update 1/11/17:. Special thanks for the input from a few collectors for pointing out that this may be an experimental glaze. There is an iridescent quality to the glaze which is difficult to photograph due to reflection. I am adding a couple more photos to this listing as part of the description.
