Part of a large collection of Vintage & Antique timepieces from a late relatives collection, i will be listing a quantity of timepieces & parts, all items discribed to best of my ability, please view many images which forms a large part of discription

A Rare & Highly sought after Silver Chronograph Trench Watch, by A Lugrin, who was responsible in part in forming what is better known as Lemania Watch Company,this type of watch are difficult to source and not often found for sale,The 1 buttontimepiece is in a excellent working condition with all functions operating as should,, cosmetically there are a couple of issues which i will discribe further down in listing, The extra Large Sterling Silver Case, is in a excellent cosmetic condition apart from small little dint to rear cover,Full Set English Import Marks for London 1914 are present on inner rear hinged cover & again on inner hinged inner dust cover, Serial Number of 25048,Case Makers Mark, CG in shield cartouche, Watch measures 42mm other dial functions , time keeping is excellent, Beautiful Clean Movement to this timepiece < see images >, Removal of Dial we find Prized Makers Mark of A Lugrin , in shape of Maltese Cross , with crown over A.Lugrin with a anchor underneath < see images > sorry closest i can capture, movement also marked Deposse and numbered 54, as stated above i have some issues to share with cosmetic presentation, The Enamel Dial with Red 12 is in a fair condition, but there is a light hairline, above number 6 position,also small chip to dial edge between 5/6, unseen when bezel is in place,distracts little but please consider this, also i am not convinced the hands are original, i would have expected to find steel blue type, but as these where in place i have left alone,easy enough to change should you feel need to, The front bezel is press on type and not hinged , original glass crystal in place, and is in a fair condition couple little scratches , but does not obscure viewing area, in all this is a rare timepiece and a search online will reveal only a few around i have added a little bit of history at foot of listing about A Lugrin who was and is reknowned for his work on chronos.

The watches and watch movement manufactory Lemania was founded in 1884 by Alfred Lugrin (1858-1920), who had acquired his expertise as a laborer at Jaeger-LeCoultre in Le Sentier. Because of the outstanding quality of his watch movements Lugrin received top awards and gold medals at exhibitions in 1906 in Milan and in 1914 in Bern. From the beginning he had specialized in the production of chronographs, stopwatches and repeaters.

Till the year 1930 the factory had the name to Lugrin S.A., until Lugrin's son in law Marius Meylan established the brand name Lemania Watch Co. with headquarters in L'Orient. In 1932 Lemania, Omega and Tissot joined to form the SSIH group
