A rare small pearlware glazed earthenware Reform Act jug, approx. 4\"/10cm tall, bearing three puce prints inscribed: \"The Purity of the Constitution Restored\", \"Lords Majority 84\", \"Commons Majority 116\", dated 1832 and with hands of friendship and patriotic flowers prints. In good overall condition, but with flaws. There is universal glaze crazing which has discoloured to the base and interior. There are also three small foot rim chips, a hairline running down where one side of the spout joins the jug neck, and a short body hairline, (or craze line). There is also minor discolouration to the spout.
