Rare Sterling Silver Picture Back Spoon With A Teapot, C. 1760:
$78

Thissterling silver teaspoon was made in London around 1760. It is called a picture back and they come with numerous different scenes. This example is fairly rare as it depicts a teapot. The maker's marks are too deeply struck to identify the silversmith which is usual with these small spoons. This measures 4 3/4" long and has the initials "MC" engraved on the back of the handle. Good condition with wear from polishing. .
