This is a rare and highly coveted vintage Trifari Jewels of India necklace created by famed designer Alfred Philippe. The necklace features two strands of hand knotted cream pearls with a large gold tone faux sapphire ruby and diamond encrusted closure accented by marbled gripoix emerald green cabochons. The necklace also offers the option of removing the centerpiece of the closure for a more demure look, so it\'s like getting two necklaces in one! The necklace is in near mint condition and both the stones and pearls shine like new. The only aging to note is a few tiny (1mm in diameter) nicks to the finish on the pearls near the clasp and few small spots where there is wear to the gold tone finish on the back. The necklace is quite long and at max length measures 25.5\" on the longest strand, 24.5\" on the shortest strand. The removable centerpiece is 1.25\" long and just over 1\" wide. Because of the extra length this necklace can also be worn in a torsade fashion for an additional styling option. The necklace is signed Crown Trifari on both clasps. This is a sensational piece from the Jewels of India line and is well worth splurging on as these pieces are highly collectible and will only continue to appreciate with time!!
