Rare Unusual Figural Crackle Glaze Toby-like Pottery Jug
13\"h x 6 1/4\" base dia, c. 2nd quarter 19th century.
Full toby-like figure in tricorn hat, wide frill collar & waistcoat with pronounced buttons. Thick C-handle. Thick gray crackle glaze. Sitting with hands across his belly on a large rock-like base.
Hairline at toes of left foot with associated very small possible old repair & sliver loss on underside of the foot. Lite natural wear & production firing fissures of little matter.
