A superb rare Irish bog oak matchstriker. It dates to the late 19th century c1880-1900. It has been superblyhandmade having carved shamrocks and a harp along with a shield for striking. Itis in superb condition being free from chips cracks and repairs. It measures a touch over 1.75 inches (4.8cms) tall by approximately 2 inches (5cms) wide. A beautifully made very unusual piece.
