Rare J.A. Stimpson Patent Water Pitcher

This beautiful water pitcher was a J.A. Stimpson invention. This pitcher is triple wall for insulation. This did not catch on with most of the people and they were expensive, cost was $24 each. That was a lot of money in those days. The top has some graying and the pitcher has 5 dings. That can be fixed. The plating is not worn off. The bottom has a medallion that reads "patented by J.A. Stimpson 1854, MF'D & Plated by Reed & Barton" and Egg shaped design seamless lined, patented April 23,1867, 833. A very sought after design and maker.
