This beautiful \"Hen on Nest\" covered bowl is in excellent condition on the outside. It has a small chip on the inside of the lid, but it is not visible from the outside (See photos). The glaze paint on the rooster is bright and deep in color, and nice and shiny. The bowl looks like a basket and is a beautiful straw color glaze.
This covered bowl is from the California Provincial pottery pattern by Metlox/Poppy Trail/Vernon and was made in California between 1956 and 1982. This pattern has been discontinued and is listed on replacements.com for $49.99! This piece is very rare.
The bowl measures 5 5/8 \" long by 5 1/4 \" wide. The bowl is 1.5 \".
