Rare vintage heavy tooled leather handbag w/ Chac Mool design on back and large leather rose \"blooming\" thru the front flap.
Unique handbag is marked Martinez Mexico on bottom and Mexico just above the brass hardware.
Unable to locate another like it or even close.

Purse measures 12\" long x 8\" high x 4\" thick x 6\" deep
3 Storage compartments w/ 1 zippered and double envelope pocket
Strap can be used long or shortened and fixed w/ snaps
Strap is 39\" long w/ 16\" drop
When shortened, the handles have a 8\" drop
CONDITIONS: please note

Leather is excellent, minimal wear - strap leather has wear
Edge laces have light wear w/ 2 places that are cracked
Interior suede-like lining is cracking & deteriorating in spots
Hardware/zippers/snaps all work fine & some discoloration

Chac Mool is the term used to refer to a particular form of pre-Columbian Mesoamerican sculpture depicting a reclining figure with its head facing 90 degrees from the front, supporting itself on its elbows and smoking while supporting a bowl or a disk upon its stomach.
