DESCRIPTION:

This listing is for a very unusual perfume bottle in satin / frosted art glass (or crystal) in the figural design of a woman in Renaissance / Victorian petticoat hoop floral dress. It has a 3-dimensional feel to the roses on the dress. The head is actually the stopper. It is beautifully crafted and created.

Thanks to a friendly er, I was able to find out it is called Madame Pompadour bottle.

I have never seen one as lovely as this one and most importantly in mint condition. I cannot see any flaw at all.

The entire bottle measures about 6.25 inches (16 cm) tall and 3.5 inches (9 cm) wide.

The stopper is about 2 inches (5 cm) tall and 1 inch (2.5 cm) wide. There are couple areas (stopper bottom tip area) looks like nicks but they are not. I have inspected these with my 10X jewelry loupe and they are part of the same sanding pattern so it is how it was made.

The clever design is the neck line is also the bottle collar.

I have acquired it from an estate sale in Laguna Woods, CA a while back and I cannot find much about it. I did a research and found some Czech glass older perfume bottles have similar characteristic so I believe it is possibly a Czech glass bottle. It looks a lot like the Lalique perfume bottle but it is not.
