Rare Vintage Everett Sinderoff Early 1950s Leggy Reading A Magazine 4x5

This sale is for the ORIGINAL VINTAGE 4x5-INCH BLACK AND WHITE SINGLEWEIGHT PHOTOGRAPHIC PRINT OF POPULAR PHYSIQUE MODEL AND COMPETITIVE BODYBUILDER EVERETT SINDEROFF SHOT BY AN UNKNOWN PHOTOGRAPHER.

This print was purchased as part of Everett's personal collection a decade or so ago. Born in Fall River, Massachusetts in 1924, Sinderoff became interested in hand-balancing and weight lifting as a youngster, and by his late teens had developed an impressive physique. By 1945, he had won the Mr. Massachusetts trophy. He was first photographed by Lon of New York on the East Coast before migrating to the West Coast to join the Muscle Beach crowd. He roomed with Steve Reeves and George Eiferman briefly at Muscle House by the Sea, and took up some of their training methods. His biggest win came in 1947 -- a few years before this photograph likely was taken -- when he was named Jr. Mr. America. He was painted by artist GEORGE QUAINTANCE for the cover of Your Physique magazine, and during his most active years, his photographs by LON, RUSS WARNER and SPARTAN OF HOLLYWOOD graced the pages of the major muscle and fitness magazines regularly during the late 1940s and early 1950s.

This vintage photograph is in VERY GOOD condition. Use my scans as your guide.

I'm starting this sale at a very reasonable opening offer amount, with FREE SHIPPING within the U.S.

Please check out my other sales for similar items, and thanks for looking!

PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS: I accept PayPal, allegedly "the world's most loved way to get paid" (despite any factual substantiation for that ridiculous claim) because I am forced to do so by the vertically integrated monopoly that is the /PayPal juggernaut, to the exclusion of other payment methods that are equally safe, convenient to me as a longtime seller, but which do not provide double-dipping fee profitability for the mothership. Your item(s) will ship promptly upon receipt of your payment, despite my surly attitude toward the once-innovative company that still produces no product, warehouses no product, ships no product, but which eats me alive in fees.

WHY DO I OFFER FREE SHIPPING WITHIN THE U.S.? Because of 's decision to take a piece of sellers' shipping costs, effectively triple-dipping by earning fees on my listings, fees on the PayPal transactions that are mandated, and fees on a portion of shipping costs. My U.S. buyers seem to appreciate free shipping, and until the U.S. Department of Justice's antitrust division decides this situation merits their attention, it's all I'm able to do to benefit my buyers and bite the proverbial Hand of the Man. It likely will take antitrust activity against in another region (the European Union or Australia, perhaps, where there seems to be a bit greater diligence when it comes to anticompetitive and/or monopolistic behavior) to get anyone's attention here.

REFUND POLICY: Please read my item descriptions carefully, and ask any questions you may have before placing your offer. I do not accept returns or offer refunds on my items. Review my response and offer with confidence.

NEED MORE INFO? I’m happy to provide you with whatever information is necessary to help you make a decision about whether or not to offer on an item. Please send me an E-mail if you have questions.
