Rare British Army Royal Irish Rifles sealskin fur busby. Busby is in excellent condition, showing very little outer wear to the sealskin pile and green wool base. Central green roped oval badge pommel, with Royal Irish Rifles black metal cap badge. Fixed interwoven chin ropes show light wear and age patina. Fine horse hair plume is in excellent condition. Leather liner shows some use, but is firm and in very good solid condition. Maker stamps, with size - 6 1/2 and date - 1904. A rarely seen sealskin busby to an Irish unit which saw much action during the Boer War and First World War.
