Rare antique French style wooden flute, fully serviced, good for Irish music:
$850.00

Please note: ignore the shipping calculator, shipping costs are specified at the end of this description. This is a well-preserved 8 keyed flute By Pierre Sénécaut, Brussels, following an overall French design (see the bent G# key, the elegant keywork, and the only partially lined head). Langwill lists no flute by Sénécaut (active 1881-1930) at all. The flute plays well in tune at A440. One minor damage to be mentioned: to the cork position indicator.Length overall 65.9 cm; Sounding length 57.3 cm; Embouchure 10.65 x 9.2 mm.
Please note: the foot of the instrument is not original to this flute, it comes from another French flute of matching size that had lost its head over the course of time (see the last picture, these two other parts are for illustration only and not included in this sale). There is a difference in color, as the woods are different, the main part is of a brown dense tropical hardwood, the foot ebony. If you can live with this, this is an excellent flute.I will be listing some more flutes in the week to come, so keep an eye on my lisitngs. If you need to know more, or want a picture of specific details, please ask.Any tax or customs arrangements to be made will be buyer\'s responsibility, but of course all assistance needed will be offered.Shipping CostsRates below include insurance up to USD 614, additonal insurance USD 6.50Netherlands: USD 11
