Rare Antique German Rose O'neill Bisque Kewpie - Perfect Condition - Sledding For Sale
This kewpie is in excellent condition and is really cute. The kewpie himself has absolutely no damage and no chips at all. The sled has a tiny chip which is hardly noticeable. Please see the last two photos for detailed images. At first I thought a part of the sled had been broken and repaired but there is no sign of this. It looks as though a tiny sliver of bisque has fallen off or, when it was made, this was some sort of weakness in the join. It is very hard to see and it certainly does not seem to have compromised the overall condition or strength of the piece. This kewpie has the "c" stamp underneath the sled. The item measures 2 1/2" in total length and 2" in total height. He has both arms outstretched and his legs up in the air. There is a ribbon around his neck but this can be easily removed.
