Rare Antique Paperweight Glass Beads By Pietro Bigaglia, C. 1845 For SaleExtremely rare and excellent condition! Offered here are two paperweight technique glass BEADS by PIETRO BIGAGLIA, C. 1845. Each bead is approx. 1/2" in diameter and is created with a scrambled millefiori layer over an opaque white center, each with a center hole. Each bead contains silhouette canes, but neither is not signe, but can be identified by the millefiori. They originally came from a necklace that was signed and dated. They are offered in a pair and would would make stunning earrings for a bead collector or a paperweight collector or for a jewelry artist wishing to incorporate something rare in a unique piece of jewelry. Of museum quality. The flower millefiori and the star cane are in one bead and the gondola and Rialto Bridge are in the other. There is gold adventurine within the scramble.
