This set was removed recently from a 1953 M38-A1 Army Jeep. Ham operator KB1NGL tested and found it to work fine. Receives many shortwave stations, and you don\'t need to be a ham to receive these (it will use less power if on receive only. These radios are well liked by ham radio operators. Range 15 miles in vehicle with this proper whip ant. Up to 200 miles over water with dipole land ant, we tried it, years ago! I have the field hand crank generator (new in box) at another sale. With seat, cranks, canvas case, cables and manual plus field ant base etc. $400. plus shipping $40. This is a 24 volt DC unit and the power supply has been changed some for this AN/GRC-9 The cable from power sup. to radio is nor military but properly tagged to show pin position, manual included....
