Genteel Antique Civil War c1860\'s Red Plaid Silk Pagoda Sleeve Gown*
This c1860\'s Victorian Civil War Era gown remnants are a remarkable ruby red, black and cream plaid silk with a pair of sweeping pagoda sleeves pleated and draped at the dropped shoulder with a small portion of black silk velvet ribbon trim, minute cartridge pleated waist with more gathers at the rear than the front and a hidden side pocket at the right hip.
Included in this sale is a pair of pagoda sleeves and the matching cartridge pleated and gored skirt (each piece was cut from the bodice and they have raw edges at the cut portion), each lined in polished cotton/wool with age and wear, fade, past repairs, discolorations and deterioration, 3\" of the cartridge pleating at the left side is separated from the waistband, and all is offered for Study, PATTERN or Display with machine and hand stitches present, there is no closure on the skirt which has a 10\" left hip opening from the waistband, the measurements are approximate and noted below FOR REFERENCE ONLY and they are being offered as found.
