Vintage 1954 Underwood Leader typewriter, refurbished and ready for use, near mint condition, serial number U2421705, includes the original case and it has a new ribbon installed.
This beautiful light brown typewriter has been: disassembled, cleaned inside and out, the platen, paper feed rollers, and rubber feet reconditioned, the carriage draw strap replaced, the main spring tension adjusted, and all internal components checked and adjusted or replaced as needed. The typewriter was then reassembled with a new ribbon installed, and final adjustments were made.Everything on this machine works as it should and it types very well.It has been thoroughly tested and is ready for you to use.This typewriter has nice green key tops that look and feel nice, and it has a light easy typing action. The beautiful light brown finish looks great with very few blemishes. The included original case has some scratches, and spots, and it had a crack that has been repaired. It has been cleaned, is solid, and latches well.
