This Regal Victorian Walnut 3 piece QUEEN Size Bed Marble Top Bedroom Set circa 1865. A queen size bed, matching dresser and washstand...this fabulous set offers beautiful detailed period carvings on all 3 pieces. This is a summer / winter headboard that allowed the headboard portion to unhook to allow the summer breezes to flow thru the room forcooler sleeping in 19th century homes. Inside the drawer of the washstandis marked:\" Patented Nov. 8 1864, Reissued Oct 17, 1865\". This bed would bea true grand focal point of any bedroom!

The matching tall dresser is equally as impressive as the bed with matching detailedcarvings, the original mirror ( some light speckling to the silver), ornate candle stands, beautiful carved drawer pulls,glove boxes and a working key .The only real apology I see is a small chip on a carved drawer pull on the rightside ,middle pull see picture, and some veneer chips on the front of the rounded glove boxes.

The large size matching marble top washstand also holds it own with the gorgeous carvings like that of the dresser and the bed. A beautiful piece does have an small old repair to the door next to the hinge, you have to look very close to see it nicely done and not a issue in my opinion.We believe this set to have retained its original finish through the years. This magnificent bedroom set exudes all the grand elegance and expert craftsmanship from another era in time....truly a compelling set!Measurements:
